BF-lime

BF-lime stands for Blast Furnace lime (fine grinded BF-slag grains under 2 mm.) manufactered by Merox at SSAB in Oxelösund. BF-lime contains important elements as lime, magnesium and manganese. BF-lime is delivered mostly as bulk but can also be packed in Big-bags.

Ammonium Sulphate

Ammonium sulphate is a colourless salt that easily dissolves in water.

At the coking plant at SSAB Oxelösund, large amounts of coke-gas are produced. The gas contains several impurities that are being manufactured into products like sulphuric acid, benzene and tar. In a saturating container the sulphuric acid is being saturated with ammonia from the coke-gas and Ammonium Sulphate is obtained.
The plant at SSAB Oxelösund produces about 7.000 Mt of Ammonium Sulphate each year.

Applications
Ammonium Sulphate is mainly used as fertilizer (N=21%) for field- and leaf-fertilizing. Other uses are waste water treatment, hardener for pastes etc.

Most of our Ammonium Sulphate is usually delivered on EUR-pallets packed in 25 kg sacks or in Big-Bags. We also sell large amounts in bulk.
