When the gravel and soil have reacted to and bonded with Hyttsten it will result in a gravel road with a
smooth and level surface.
If the base surface is bad e.g. containing a lot of rolling gravel etc you ought to use approximately 10cm Hyttsten 0/16mm, however, finish off with
Hyttsten 0/8 for the best results.
The firmness and hardiness of Hyttsten increases with time through chemical reactions and cementing bonding. This increased bearing capacity reduces the risk for potholes and ribbing in the surface.
More volume per ton
Hyttsten has a lower weight by volume than traditional road material. The lessened pressure on the surface leads to a lesser risk for damage to bad base earth. The lesser weight of volume is more economical for transport from us to you.
Hyttsten insulates against the cold better than traditional road material leading to a decrease in frost damage.
